She has also collaborated with Cynthia Charette in Los Angeles; G. Tito Burchiellaro at Cinecittà; in theatre with Josef Svoboda (founder of Laterna Magika and director of the National Theatre in Prague) at the National Museum in Prague; Carlo Quartucci at the Teatro Olimpico in Rome and the Malibran Theatre in Venice; and with F. O. Gehry and Claes Oldenburg on a project curated by Germano Celant and Rudy Fuchs at the Arsenale in Venice.
Many of the film productions she has worked on have received significant recognition, including works such as Aspettando la Bardot by Marco Cervelli, Mare di Grano by Fabrizio Guarducci, Garage Olimpo by Marco Bechis, Blue Sofa by Lara Fremder, Pippo Delbono, Giuseppe Baresi and Il Mnemonista by Paolo Rosa.
Esther Musatti also works in the field of architecture, integrating her scenographic sensibility into architectural design. She places particular emphasis on interpreting and enhancing clients’ needs, offering innovative solutions with a strong artistic and scenographic approach.
For many years, she has taught a course in Film Set Design for the Master’s program in Theatre Set Design at the Accademia della Scala in Milan. In addition to the design component, the course includes the filming of the created projects, providing students with hands-on experience in cinematic set design. In the academic field, she has also collaborated with the Politecnico di Milano and the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan.
She has published for many years in architecture magazines (including L’Arca), bringing together architecture and set design.
